LANCASTER, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's track & field teams took part in the 40th annual Millersville Metrics on Saturday, April 1. Leah Gray set a new program record to lead the way, while multiple athletes improved upon previous marks.

On the women's side, Gray ran a blistering time of 12.28 seconds in the 100m dash to break the previous program record in the event by nearly half a second. She also ran a 26.18 in the 200m dash; a time strong enough to rank third all-time in the event in program history.

Makayla Grace Weber etched her name into the record book as well, as her time of 1:11.24 in the 400m hurdles was strong enough for third place in the event. Mikayla Wright also improved on her personal best in the hammer, with her top throw of 34.68 meters standing as the third-best effort in program history.

Hurdlers made some history on the men's side, with Sean Hamby's effort of 57.52 seconds in the 400m hurdles ranking second all-time in the event and Paul Netland III's time of 15.39 seconds in the 110m hurdles proving strong enough to secure him third place in the event on the program's all-time list.

Throwers Angad Bhullar and Comlan Greg Acoliste also turned in excellent performances, with Bhullar's top toss of 13.68 meters in the shot put ranking second all-time in the event and Acoliste's best throw of 44.26 meters in the hammer also ranking second all-time in Penn State Harrisburg history.

The Lions will look to continue building off Saturday's strong efforts when they take part in the York (Pa.) Twilight Meet on Wednesday evening, April 5.
