Women's T&F Concludes Its Action at NJAC Championships

MAHWAH, N.J. – Penn State Harrisburg women's track & field wrapped up its full slate of competition at the 2021 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Outdoor Championships hosted by Ramapo on Saturday afternoon, May 8.

 

Abagail Marquardt had one of the better efforts of the day in earning a ninth-place finish in the 1,500m run thanks to a time of 6:07.24. Kyli Moon-Rumsey, fresh off competing in the heptathlon on Wednesday and Thursday, secured a share of sixth place in the high jump with a top leap of 1.40m, while Teyenne Jonca earned a share of ninth place in the long jump behind a top bound of 4.28m. Jamilyn Nimo just missed out on a top-10 finish in the discus throw, as her top toss of 29.26m was good enough to capture an 11th-place finish.

 

Elsewhere, Dominique Taylor competed in the 100m and 200m dashes, Marquardt and Jennifer Ross were in action in the 800m run, and Alexandria Morrison competed in the 400m hurdles. Taylor, Jonca, Moon-Rumsey, and Morrison teamed up to run the 4x100m relay, while Jonca, Marquardt, Moon-Rumsey, and Morrison combined to run the 4x400m relay.

 

The Lions are set to finish up their weekend at the NJAC Outdoor Championships when the men's team competes at Ramapo on Sunday afternoon.
