Williams Headed to NCAA Championships

Middletown, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg has had more than a few top rated track and field athletes in their short history, but the woman who continues to set the bar is hurdler Ashley Williams.  As a Freshman, Williams won the 60 meter hurdles while setting a Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) championship record.  She also finished just shy of reaching Nationals after a third place finish in the 2016 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) championships.

After an additional year of hard work and maturity, Williams was able to break her own CAC record, winning the championship race for a second straight year with a time of 8.95.   In the ECAC Championship, Williams moved up two spots for a firsth place finish and most importantly earned the right to compete at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at North Central College in Naperville Illinios March 10th and 11th.

Coach Lynch is planning on posting Ashley's two races using facebook live.  She competes Friday March 10th and Saturday March 11th at 2:30.
