GETTYSBURG, Pa. – After a three-week hiatus, Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's cross country teams returned to action at Gettysburg's Aubrey Shenk Invitational on Saturday morning, Oct. 15.

In an event that included numerous Division II programs, the men earned a 16th-place finish, while the women combined for a 17th-place finish. Tatyana Gibson led the way for the women, while Sam Bishop was the men's team's top finisher.

Gibson turned in one of her best efforts of the season, finishing the women's 6K event in 25:00; a jaunt good enough to secure her a 53rd-place finish out of 173 total runners. Dessire Amaya and Abagail Marquardt finished back-to-back in 158th and 159th, while Madison Parks came home right behind them in 161st. Leah Gray completed the Penn State Harrisburg group of competitors.

Bishop just missed out on etching his name in the program's top-five record book with a time of 28:54; a mark good enough to earn him an 89th-place finish out of 174 total runners. Mohammed Sakayl came home 120th with an effort of 30:18.8, Luke Culver finished 132nd, and Steven Painter crossed the finish line in 166th.

The Lions are set to return to action at Lebanon Valley's Last Chance Run Fast Invitational at Union Canal Tunnel Park in Lebanon, Pa. on Friday evening, Oct. 21.
