Willis Leads Lions to Fourth Place Finish at Cougar Classic

Dallas Pa. - The Penn State Harrisburg men and women's cross-country teams traveled to the Misericorida Cougar Classic Saturday September 16th for their second meet of the year. Kadeem Willis led the Blue and White men while Sephora Senestant led the women.

On the men's side, the host Misericordia claimed first place honors.  The Lions had four runners finish in the top 30 that helped the Blue and White to a fourth place overall finish.  Kadeem Willis finished on top for Harrisburg with a time of 31.53.  His time was good enough for a 21st place finish.  He ran side by side with teammate Mekeal Kassu who finished one second behind Willis in 22nd place.

The women did not finish quite as well, but still showed improvement from their first week of competition.  Sephora Senestant claimed the top finish for Harrisburg with her time of 29.28 that put her 38th overall.  Finishing second for the Lions was Jennifer Ross with a time of 33.22.  The Lion women took 6th out of 6th place in the meet.  

Both the men and women's team will travel to Messiah College on Saturday September 23rd for their next competition.
