Several Nittany Lions place at Dutchmen Invitational

Annville, Pa.- On Saturday morning both the men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Lebanon Valley College to race in the Dutchmen Invitational. The Nittany Lions each had individual runners place in the top sixty. As a team, the Lions placed eighth for the men and ninth for the women.

 

On the men's side, Korey Christian (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Water Panas) placed the highest out of the Nittany Lions with a time of 31:01. Christian placed fiftieth while his teammate Alejandro Davillo (Harrisburg, Pa. / Harrisburg) and Derrick Allabaugh (Wyalusing, Pa./ Northeast Bradford) placed sixty-first and sixty-fifth.

 

The women's team was led by newcomer Ashley Peart (West Orange, N.J./ West Orange) who placed fiftieth out of the over one hundred women's participants. She finished with a time of 21:58 and was followed by teammates Katlin Gould (Camp Hill, Pa./ Cedar Cliff) and Kyla Line (Harrisburg, Pa./ Bishop McDevitt). Line and Gould each finished with respectable times of 24:57 and 27:05.

 

Up next for both the men and women is the Rich Achtzehn Classic held at York College. The teams will travel there on September 12th for a 12 P.M. start.
