Harrisburg Men Take Third at Home Meet

The Penn State Harrisburg men's cross country team pulled off a third place finish in Friday's home match at Serb Park in Hershey on Friday.  The lions merely took second but was beat out in a close finish with Penn State Berks.

Sophomore Joey Phifer (Union, N.J. / Union) and freshman Takoda Thompson (Hershey, Pa / Hershey) were the top two finishers for the blue and white finishing 9th and 12th respecively.   

"I am very proud of our men and women for their performances individually and collectively today against hardy competition at our home course. Weather was perfect and there was a nice buzz in the air" Coach Danielle Lynch stated following the meet,  "We battled injury and illness all week and were down top two runners on both gender sides but the team rose and rallied to fight allowing our women to beat our first team of the season and our men battled well to place a very close third. We are excited to take on the competition at Lancaster Bible College next Saturday."

Harrisburg will  be back in action next Saturday at Lancaster Bible at 9:45am.
