Multis In Action On First Day of NJAC Championships

EWING, N.J. – Penn State Harrisburg men's and women's track & field multi athletes were in action on day one of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Outdoor Championships hosted by The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) on Wednesday afternoon, May 5.

Andrew Bomberger and Matt Mixell took part in the first five events of the men's decathlon, with Bomberger sitting third overall and Mixell ranking fifth after the opening day of competition. Bomberger racked up 2,531 points behind a second-place effort in the shot put and third-place finishes in the 100m 400m dashes. Mixell tallied 2,096 points, with his top marks coming in the shot put and high jump events.

Kyli Moon-Rumsey represented the Blue & White on the women's side, with her 1,873 total points in the heptathlon good enough to put her within 100 points of a top-five spot after day one. The freshman was especially strong in both the high jump and shot put, posting fourth-place finishes in both events.

Bomberger, Mixell, and Moon-Rumsey will wrap up the multi portion of their week of competition on day two of the NJAC Outdoor Championships at TCNJ on Thursday evening, May 6.
