Men's And Women's Track & Field Teams Prepare For ECAC Championships

Harrisburg, Pa- Penn State Harrisburg's Men's and Women's Track & Field team are sending nine athletes to the ECAC Championship in New York City on March 2nd and 3rd in hopes of improving their position nationally. To qualify for the NCAA Men's Championship, an athlete needs to hold a top 15 time or distance and for the Women's Championship, they need to hold a top 17 time or distance.

Jalil Clayton will be participate in the 200 Meters, 60 Meter Hurdles, High Jump and will take part in the 4X200 Meter Relay. Clayton currently ranks 21st nationally in the 60 Meter Hurdles, 46th in the 200 Meters, and 50th in the High Jump.

Derrick Young is participating in the Heptathlon where he is ranked 30th. Uzoijie Ukatitah is running the 60 Meter Dash where he is ranked 64th. Alex White will be jumping in the High Jump where he is currently ranked 40th. Cameron Yon, Shot Put and Weight Throw, and Josiah Owhe, 60 Meter Dash and Long Jump, will also be participating in the event.

Sarah Lehman leads the Women's Track & Field team participating in the Triple Jump and Long Jump. Lehman, who set a CAC Championship Meet Record in her last outing, enters ranked 26th in the Triple Jump.

Rae Rae Taylor will participate in the Triple Jump and Pentathlon at the event. Taylor is ranked 40th in the Triple Jump and 58th in the Pentathlon entering the event. Finally, Ashley Williams will run in the 60 Meter Hurdles where she is ranked 34th nationally.
