Clayton Leads Men's Track and Field at Messiah Invitational

Grantham, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg men's and women's track programs travelled to the 2017 Messiah Track and Field Invitational on Friday April 7th and Saturday April 8th. The men placed fourth with a team score of 65 points while the women placed sixteenth with 10 points.

Men's Top Finishes:

Jalil Clayton: Clayton was the top finisher in the men's team with three first places finishes over the weekend. In the men's 110 meter hurdles Clayton finished on top with a time of 14.52 seconds followed by a finish of 56.38 seconds in the 400 meter hurdles. Clayton's final first place finish took place in the men's high jump with a distance of 1.93 meters.

Jacob Kaminski-Mainardi: Mainardi placed 9th in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 61.61 seconds

Cameron Yon: Yon followed in Clayton's footsteps with a first place finish of his own in the men's discus throw with a distance of 48.64 meters. Yon also placed seventh in the hammer throw at 40.92 meters and 12th in the men's shot put at 12.25 meters.

Joseph Rebarchak: In the men's javelin, Rebarchak placed sixth with a throw of 52.05 meters.

Jared Alpaugh: Alpaugh finished sixth in the triple jump at 12.87 meters and seventh in the long jump at 6.07 meters

Alex White: White had three top ten finishes with an 8th place finish in the triple jump at 12,87 meters, ninth in the long jump at 5.89 meters, and third place in the high jump at 1.88 meters

Derrick Young: In the men's high jump, Young placed 8th with a distance of 1.78 meters

Women's Top Finishes:

Ashley Williams: Williams brought home a first place finish in the women's 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.26 seconds

Rachale Hair: Hair placed 16th in the women's javelin with a throw of 29.77 meters. Hair also placed 22nd in the discus throw at 28.49 meters
