KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Thanks to their academic success during the 2022-23 campaign, five Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball players have been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court.

Robert Bobeck, Nate Curry, Donald Friday Jr., Malik Holland, and Alex Leiba each earned the academic distinction. In order to earn selection to the NABC Honors Court, an individual player must carry a grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher during their junior or senior seasons.

Bobeck wrapped up his playing career by carrying a cumulative 3.25 GPA as a Finance major after appearing in eight games during his senior campaign. He was also named a United East Scholar-Athlete earlier this summer.

Curry was a D3hoops.com All-Region Second-Team selection and United East All-Conference First-Team pick. This winter, the two-time United East Player of the Week became just the second player in program history to score 1,000 career points and grab 500 career rebounds. The Brooklyn, N.Y. native netted a team-high 15.4 points per game and pulled down a team-best 8.2 boards per contest to go along with eight double-doubles on the year. The Marketing major currently holds a 3.36 cumulative GPA.

Although injury kept him from seeing the court for much of his senior season, Friday Jr. completed his four-year career by securing his degree in Marketing in May after earning a 3.22 cumulative GPA. His most-recent academic honor is the third NABC Honors Court accolade of his career.

Holland turned in a strong junior campaign that saw him set the single-season program record for 3-point field goal percentage (44.2 percent). He netted a career-high 24 points in a late-season victory over Gallaudet and knocked down a team-high 38 triples on the year. The Electrical Engineering major currently holds a 3.26 cumulative GPA.

Leiba appeared in all 26 games as a junior and recorded the first double-double of his career when he netted 13 points and grabbed a dozen rebounds in a season-opening victory over Chatham. The Communications major holds a 3.40 cumulative GPA and was named a United East Scholar-Athlete earlier this summer.
