MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Nate Curry surpassed the 1,000-point mark for his career and Zegary Scott III became the first player in program history to record 500 career assists during Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball's 78-67 setback to United East foe Morrisville at the Capital Union Building on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 21.

Curry netted a team-high 16 points, while Isaiah Eggleston recorded a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double. Scott finished with nine points, while Malik Holland and Isaiah Milien added eight poins apiece.

Things were even in the early going, with back-to-back 3-pointers from Chris Haynes and Isaiah Eggleston tying things up at 8-8 at the 14:55 mark of the first half. From there, the Mustangs (9-7, 5-3 United East) attacked the paint and used a 13-4 run that included five layups on five possessions to create breathing room for the first time at 21-12 midway through the half.

The Lions pulled to within four when Malik Holland connected on an attempt from beyond the arc but Morrisville halted the momentum with a rare 4-point play on the other end that made it 33-25 late in the half. The visitors added a layup on their next possession to stretch the lead to double digits but Curry converted an and-1 to cut the deficit to 35-28 at the break.

Penn State Harrisburg regrouped coming out of the locker room and opened the second half on a 17-10 run that culminated with a game-tying triple from Milien off a Chase Robinson find that evened things up at 45-45 with 12:31 remaining. Morrisville answered with a 9-2 spurt but the Lions again clawed back and cut the deficit to two with an Eggleston layup at the 8:21 mark.

After a Milien layup pulled the home team to within three at 66-63, the Mustangs made a key push in crunch time and netted nine of the contest's next 11 points, forcing Penn State Harrisburg to foul down the stretch. Morrisville converted eight of 10 free throws during the span to hold on for the hard-fought win.
