Daniels Earns United East Player of the Week Honors

LATHAM, N.Y. - Thanks to his efforts in three wins last week, Penn State Harrisburg's Dylan Daniels has been named the United East Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Daniels was huge in helping lead the Lions (9-1, 2-0 United East) to a trio of victories last week. The forward recorded double-doubles in all three wins and nearly posted a triple-double in a 68-48 win over Messiah on Monday night, finishing with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and nine blocks. The senior followed it up with 12 points, 10 boards, and seven blocks in a 73-61 victory over Wells on Friday night before tallying a game-high 16 points, 10 rebounds, and four rejections in just 24 minutes of action in a 73-57 win over SUNY Morrisville the next day. For the week, the Clarksville, Md. native averaged 13.3 points per game on 56.7 percent shooting from the floor, as well as 10.3 rebounds and 6.7 blocks per contest.

The Blue & White return to action when they host Scranton for a non-conference matchup at the Capital Union Building on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 11. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
