Baylor-Carroll Earns Third Conference POTW Honor

LATHAM, N.Y. – Penn State Harrisburg's Donyae Baylor-Carroll has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

 

Baylor-Carroll led the Lions (18-7, 14-2 NEAC) to three wins last week and helped the Blue & White clinch the 2019-20 NEAC Regular Season Championship. The sophomore was especially electric in a victory at Morrisville State on Saturday afternoon, burying seven 3-pointers en route to pouring in a game-high 31 points on 50 percent shooting. The shifty guard added seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in the win. One night earlier, the Harrisburg, Pa. native also netted 31 points on 50 percent shooting and knocked down seven more 3-balls in a victory at Cazenovia. He also added six boards and two assists against the Wildcats. In just 25 minutes of action in a rout of Penn State Berks on Wednesday night, he finished with 14 points, two rebounds and an assist. For the week, Baylor-Carroll averaged 25.3 points and nearly six 3-pointers per contest to go along with five rebounds, nearly three assists and one steal per game.

 

For Baylor-Carroll, it is his third conference weekly honor of the season. He, along with teammate Dylan Daniels, are Penn State Harrisburg players to have earned the NEAC's Weekly Award this winter.

 

The Lions (18-7, 14-2 NEAC) will host the upcoming NEAC Men's Basketball Playoff Tournament at the Capital Union Building this weekend. Penn State Harrisburg will face the winner of Tuesday's first-round matchup between Morrisville State and Cazenovia on Friday night, Feb. 28.
