How It Happened

Penn State Harrisburg rolled to a 95-68 victory over North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) opponent Keuka at the Capital Union Building on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 15.

Six Blue & White players reached the double-digit scoring mark, led by Donyae Baylor-Carroll's game-high 16 points. Nate Curry posted a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds, while Zegary Scott III netted 15 points of his own. Dylan Daniels tallied 14 points, Chris Haynes had 13 and Clinton Asalu finished with 11 points.

The Lions (15-7, 11-2 NEAC) jumped out to a 10-0 advantage following a Baylor-Carroll 3-ball less than two minutes into the contest and maintained a double-digit lead for much  of the opening half.

The home team kept the pressure on and pulled ahead by 15 for the first time when Baylor-Carroll converted a 4-point play thanks to draining a jumper from beyond the arc while being fouled before knocking down the ensuing free throw at the 10:49 mark.

The Blue & White stretched the advantage to 21 when Asalu converted a layup off a Pedro Rodriguez feed with 3:14 remaining before the break and Rodriguez pushed the lead to its largest margin of the first half at 50-27 with a layup off a Scott III assist two minutes later.

It was more of the same after halftime, as Penn State Harrisburg's lead ballooned to nearly 30 points when Rodriguez finished off a no-look pass from Baylor-Carroll to push the advantage to 74-45 with 9:32 left to play.

Daniels put a couple of exclamation points on the day's action with a pair of dunks late in the contest, including an old-fashioned 3-point play on a two-handed slam with 5:17 remaining.
