How It Happened

Penn State Harrisburg shot better than 50 percent from the floor en route to an 87-76 victory over Immaculata at the Capital Union Building on Wednesday night, Nov. 13.

Six players reached the double-digit scoring mark, with Zegary Scott III leading the way with 19 points. Dylan Daniels netted 16 points, Chris Haynes added 15, Nate Curry tallied 12 and Donyae Baylor-Carroll and Kalonji Parker each chipped in with 10 points.

The Lions (2-1) erased an early 8-2 deficit and used a Scott III old-fashioned 3-point play off a pretty pass from Baylor-Carroll to cap a 15-to-3 run at the 11:54 mark of the first half.

The Blue & White took their first double-digit lead of the game when Parker knocked down a jumper from beyond the arc with 7:43 left in the opening half before another Parker 3-ball pushed the advantage to 40-26 heading into the break.

The Mighty Macs (0-1) twice cut the deficit to 10 early in the second half but Penn State Harrisburg had an answer each time, with Haynes and Pedro Rodriguez converting buckets that kept the visitors from drawing to within single digits.

The Lions took their largest lead of the night when Baylor-Carroll converted a pair of free throws to push the advantage to 70-51 with 9:02 remaining. The teams traded baskets for much of the rest of the contest and Immaculata was unable to put together a significant push down the stretch.

Inside the Numbers

- The Lions shot 53.8 percent from the floor and 37.5 percent from 3-point territory.

- The Blue & White won the rebounding battle 42-to-32.

- Penn State Harrisburg assisted on 21 of the team's 35 made baskets.

- Zegary Scott III scored a team-high 19 points. He added six rebounds, six assists and a pair of steals.

- Dylan Daniels blocked seven shots to go along with 16 points and five boards.

- Donyae Baylor-Carroll dished out eight assists, netted 10 points, grabbed five rebounds and swiped two steals.

- Chris Haynes tallied 15 points in his first start.

- Nate Curry added 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting and five boards off the bench.

- Kalonji Parker netted 10 points in a reserve role.

- Pedro Rodriguez pulled down five rebounds and added four assists and a pair of blocks.
