Middletown, PA— Kahlil Williams led with 17 points, Khalil White added another 14, Gbolahan pulled in 10 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to earn a win as the Penn State Harrisburg Men's Basketball team fell to the Wesley Wolverines, 77-58, on Wednesday night at the CUB.

How it Happened:

-The contest remained close for the first nine minutes of the game, with the largest lead for either team staying within four.

-With the game tied at 13 apiece, Wesley went on a 22-2 run that lasted almost seven minutes that blew the game wide open for the rest of the half.

-Wesley did a great job collapsing on the post players during the first half, forcing the Lions to take more shots from outside, but the ball would not drop for them.

-Coach Friday was assessed a technical foul with 3:53 to go in the half with what looked to be an innocent enough verbal command directed towards his players, but the ref apparently saw it differently.

-Penn State Harrisburg entered the half down 17 points.

-The Blue and White were able to keep pace for most of the second half, holding the deficit to around 20 points throughout.

-The lions were able to close the lead slightly once Wesley began playing their reserves, but by that point, the game was already out of reach.

Playoff Picture:

With the loss, Penn State Harrisburg falls to eighth in the conference, officially eliminating them from playoff contention. With the two teams directly above them—Mary Washington and Wesley—set to play each other on Saturday, it guarantees a win for one of the teams. Even with a win over Marymount (Va.) on Saturday, they can finish no higher than seventh place.

What's Next:

The Lions wrap up their season at home this Saturday, February 18th as they host Marymount (Va.). The senior members of the team will be honored before tip-off at 3pm.
