YORK, Pa. -- Penn State Harrisburg freshman Khalil White earned CAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week accolades for Nov. 21, 2016.

Penn State Harrisburg freshman Khalil White earned CAC Player of the Week accolades after averaging 20.0 points per game while shooting 61.3% from the field in a 3-0 week for the Lions. White's top performance of the week came in the championship game of the Penn State Harrisburg Tip-Off Tournament. He scored 33 points on 71.4% shooting with five three-pointers, leading the Lions to a 74-68 victory over TCNJ. White was named Tournament MVP for his efforts.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

In the D3hoops.com Preseason National Rankings, Christopher Newport is ranked No. 2 ... Penn State Harrisburg and Salisbury both posted 3-0 weeks and captured their own tournament titles last weekend ... CNU's Aaron McFarland scored 17 points in leading the Captains to a 20-point victory over Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He also tallied 14 in a season-opening victory over Randolph-Macon ... Tyler Michael scored 62 points in three games, including 32 points in Frostburg State's season-opening win against Mt. Aloysius ... Mary Washington won two of three games to open the season, with junior Eric Shaw scoring 16.3 PPG, and senior John Lutkenhaus adding 11.7 PPG and 9.0 rebounds per contest. Freshman Austin Hall added 20 points in a win over Washington & Jefferson ... Marymount's Brandon Rogers had a strong shooting week to open his sophomore season, averaging 12.3 points through the first three games. He guided the Saints to a first-round victory over Kean in the Pablo Coto Tip-Off Tournament with a game- and career-high 15 points behind 62.5 percent shooting. On Sunday in the Championship against Catholic, he added another 13 points on 66.7 shooting to earn a place on the All-Tournament team ... St. Mary's Ochae Bynum earned All-Tournament team honors at the Dan Greene Memorial Invitational hosted by St. Mary's. In a 2-1 week, Bynum led the Seahawks in scoring twice, including dropping a season-best 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting in leading St. Mary's to the win over Spalding in the consolation game. He also grabbed five rebounds against Baldwin Wallace while dishing out four assists in the season-opening win over Penn State Altoona ... Salisbury junior Chad Barcikowski stepped into the starting lineup for the first time in his career and made the most of his first three starts, averaging a team-best 18.3 points per game in three Salisbury victories, and leading the team to the Optimist Tournament championship. Barcikowski put an exclamation point on the first week of the season with a career-high 25 points against Johns Hopkins in the Optimist championship game. He also had the first double-double of his career in the season opener against Goucher, with 18 points and 10 rebounds ... Southern Virginia's Rashay Douglas leads the 1-2 Knights with 14.3 points per game on 54.2% shooting off the bench. He also lead the team in three-point % at 40% ... Wesley's Evan Anderson averaged 18.3 points per game and scored the game-winning tip-in with under two seconds remaining to propel the Wolverines to a 72-70 win over Elizabethtown in the Rinso Marquette Invitational hosted by Lebanon Valley. The sophomore shot 10-for-18 from behind the arc in the three games combined ... York junior Matt Scamuffo led the Spartans to a 2-1 start to the season with a team-best 18.3 points per game for the Green and White. Scamuffo had his biggest game of the week in the championship game loss to No. 23 Franklin & Marshall with 22 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor and 7-for-9 from the line. He also canned a three pointer which was his 100th career triple in a Spartan uniform. Scamuffo also had a pair of rebounds, three assists and two steals as he earned All-Tournament team honors for York.
