MIDDLETOWN, Pa.- In just his first week of eligibility for the award, Penn State Harrisburg freshman guard Amani Glenn (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin East) was named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) men's basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the time period ending Nov. 20.
The CD East grad started his career with a bang by netting a team-high 22 points and grabbing nine rebounds in the Lions' huge season-opening non-conference victory over Elizabethtown on Tuesday, Nov. 15. He followed it up by earning all-tournament honors in Dickinson's Days Inn Tip-Off tournament four days later which included a 30-point, eight rebound outburst against Wilkes on Saturday, Nov. 19. The frosh averaged 22.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and two steals per game while shooting 53 percent from the field and 83 percent from the foul line.
