Lions Advance to NEAC Championship

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - In front of the largest crowd this season the Nittany Lions pulled out an exciting overtime victory over Gallaudet University to advance to the NEAC Championship. David Reisinger (Harrisburg, PA/Central Dauphin East) led Penn State Harrisburg with 24 points and 11 rebounds.

The game was never separated by more than nine points making for a thrilling night for both squads. The Nittany Lions impressive three-point shooting in the first half gave them the upper hand until late in the half. Gallaudet took a 6 point lead into the break.

The second half mirrored the first as the game was locked within 3 points most of the way. It seemed as though Penn State Harrisburg has pulled out a win as they held a 3-point lead with 3.0 seconds remaining. Tyler Crace threw up a last second half court shot to send the game into overtime. Crace finished the game with Gallaudet's most important 3 points of the nights.

Nittany Lions dominated when it counted most, out-scoring Gallaudet 10-5 in overtime led by Kenny Stone's (Philadelphia, PA/Scotland) 11 point night.

Gallaudet shot 45.8% from the three-point line led by Luther Weedon's 6-of-7 point performance from the arc. Weedon scored a team-high 22 points. Brandon McMillian and Tony Tatum each added 19 points.  

Kenton Alston (Harrisburg, PA/Steel-High) contributed 22 points, 16 rebounds and 8 blocks. Shane Woodman and Nick Liddell (Lewisberry, PA/Red Land) each added 13 points in the win.

The Nittany Lions will play Wells College tomorrow, Sunday, February 27 at 1:00 PM for the NEAC Championship.
