Blue and White Wins High-Scoring Affair

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - The Nittany Lions played to the last minute in an exciting conference game on Saturday. Penn State Harrisburg broke the 100 point mark for the first time this season, outscoring the visiting Cazenovia College Wildcats 100-93 and improved to 6-8, 6-2 NEAC.

The first few minutes of Saturday's game were a back and forth battle until the Lions gained the lead at the 11:39 mark in the first half. Penn State Harrisburg led by as many as 13 and entered the cessation with an 11 point advantage, 52-41.

The Lions enjoyed their early lead in the second half but the Wildcats clawed back to gain the lead with just minutes remaining in the half. A big trifecta by Nick Liddell (Lewisberry, PA/Red Land) and late free throw shooting boosted the Lions to victory. Liddell finished the game with 16 points.

The Lions had six player score in double figures. Junior, Kenton Alston (Harrisburg, PA/Steel High) scored a team high 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for his 17th career double-double. Bre-Mahr Manning (Middletown, PA/Middletown) had a breakout performance Saturday as he showcased his defensive abilities and notched a career high 14 points.

Cazenovia also registered six players in double figures. Cameron Smith led all scorers with 19 points.

The Nittany Lions will host Morrisville State tomorrow at 2:00 PM to finish off their double-header NEAC weekend.
