Wells College Snap Nittany Lions´ Winning Streak

AURORA, NY - Shooting 62.5 percent from the field and 52.2 percent from behind the arc, the Express of Wells College use this amazing performance to hand Penn State Harrisburg their sixth lost on the season Saturday, January 30th, 114-88.

Within five minutes of the game the Nittany Lions placed themselves in a deep hole turning over the ball eight times allowing the Express to go on a 21-7 run. The blue and white would claw back, answering with a 12-4 run on their own to bring them within six with 12:07 remaining but Wells would response with a 24-6 run to increase their lead to 24 in a six minute span.

After a disappointing first half, 64-46, Penn State Harrisburg was determined to turn the game around after a layup from Kenton Alston (Steelton, PA/Steelton-Highspire) with 15:38 remaining to bring the blue and white within 12. Wells would prove to be the better team that day, continuing to outscore the Nittany Lions in the second half, 50-42.

Steve Jones (Harrisburg, PA/Harrisburg) led Harrisburg with 22 points adding six rebounds. Alston would finish with 15 points and seven rebounds. Jordan Gatchell (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) and Shane Woodman (Mount Joy, PA/Donegal) would contribute 15 points and 10 points respectively.

Darrell Bullock would lead all scorers with 29 points off 11-of-15 shooting, adding seven assists, four rebounds and four steals. Greg Jones collected 21 points and seven assists. Juan Paulino tailed 19 points on 9-of-11 shooting adding 18 rebounds, five steals and three blocks.
