Nittany Lions Set School Record with 15th Win

MIDDLETOWN, PA - The Penn State Harrisburg men´s basketball team grabbed their school-record 15th victory, Saturday, February 20th, at the Capital Union Building in a 106-90 win over Keuka College.

Kenton Alston (Steelton, PA/Steelton-Highspire) led the Nittany Lions in a season-high 60 point first half scoring 20 points on 9-of-16 shooting grabbing eight rebounds and three steals. Steve Jones (Harrisburg, PA/Harrisburg)complimented Alston tailing 11 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals in the opening half. As a team the blue and white shot 58.5 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from beyond the arc en route to a 17 point lead at intermission, 60-43.

Keuka was able to pull within seven with 9:06 remaining, but the Nittany Lions offense proved to be too much, scoring a season-high 106 points.

Jones came up one steal short of a triple-double finishing with 27 points, 15 rebounds, nine steals and seven assists. Alston finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds and four steals in just 23 minutes of play. Jordan Gatchell (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) contributed 15 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. Nick Liddell (Lewisberry, PA/Red Land) and Brian Barry (Annville, PA/Annville-Cleona) added 13 and 12 points respectively.

Ryan Klimek led the Storm off the bench with 20 points and six rebounds. Alex Coleman tailed 18 points, six rebounds and two steals. Teddy Tuggles finished with 15 points, six assists and three steals. Plagued with foul trouble, Diamond Booker finished with 13 points and nine rebounds in only 17 minutes of play.
