MAKE A GIFT

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg joins the rest of Penn State University in celebrating Giving Tuesday on Nov. 28. As part of the annual day of philanthropy, Penn State Harrisburg's field hockey program is taking part in the event.

Penn State Harrisburg's field hockey program will begin NCAA Division III play in 2024. The program needs your help as the Lions begin competition in the United East Conference. Funds will be raised during Giving Tuesday to support the program's student-athletes by securing equipment, uniforms, video technology, and other essential items needed to compete.

Gifts can be made here in support of Penn State Harrisburg field hockey by aiding the program's inaugural year of competition.

Penn State Harrisburg field hockey is led by head coach Amanda Janney Misselhorn. The team's foundational values are based on building a strong culture around the intangibles of grit, respect, integrity, and teamwork. The program's core beliefs focus on teaching student-athletes to seek excellence in everything they do on and off the turf.

There are currently fourteen students on the team and a large recruiting class is set to join the program in 2024. There is a mix of experienced 100-point high school scorers along with beginners who have already helped the team in the fall of 2023. Great strides and improvements have been made on the field and the program looks forward to continuing to progress in 2024.
