Berzonski Earns Conference Pitcher of the Week Honors

LATHAM, N.Y. - Thanks to his efforts in a victory over No, 24 Arcadia on Sunday afternoon, Penn State Harrisburg reliever Josh Berzonski has been named the United East Volt Division Pitcher of the Week.

 

Berzonski joins teammate Brendan Henn (2/26) as Penn State Harrisburg players to earn the conference's weekly accolade this season. 

 

The lefty was excellent in five innings of work in a 6-2 win over the nationally-ranked Knights. The sophomore allowed two hits, three walks, and no earned runs to go along with five strikeouts in the final five frames en route to earning the victory on the bump. Through two appearances this season, Berzonski has recorded a pair of wins and racked up a dozen strikeouts without allowing an earned run.

 

The Lions (4-2) return to action at No. 5 Salisbury on Thursday afternoon.
