LATHAM, N.Y. - Thanks to his efforts in four games over the weekend, Penn State Harrisburg baseball player Brendan Henn has earned the first United East Player of the Week accolade of the season.

Henn was integral in helping Penn State Harrisburg (3-1) pick up three victories on opening weekend. The first baseman hit the game-winning walk-off sacrifice fly that plated teammate Drew Sassaman to give the Lions a 5-4 season-opening victory over Franklin & Marshall on Saturday before hitting his first home run of the season against N.C. Wesleyan later that afternoon. On Sunday, the junior went 3-for-3 with two doubles, three RBI, and a pair of runs scored in a win over SUNY New Paltz and added another run in a victory over Virginia Wesleyan.

In four games, Henn slashed .357/.545/.714 with a 1.259 OPS to go along with five hits, including a home run and two doubles, seven RBI, four runs scored, six walks, and a pair of stolen bases.

The Lions return to action when they begin a three-game weekend series with a talented Arcadia squad on Saturday.
