Baseball Receives Votes In D3baseball.com Preseason Rankings

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's baseball team is receiving votes in the 2024 D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25 Preseason Poll.

 

The national preseason recognition comes after the Lions made a fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament, hosted an NCAA Regional Series, captured the program's third straight United East Championship, and racked up a program-record 34 victories last spring, Penn State Harrisburg received five votes in the first national rankings of the season.

 

Individually, Carlos Irizarry was named the United East Rookie of the Year and joined fellow returners Kevin Lehner, Dallas Hite, Fisher Druck, and Josh Berzonski on the United East All-Conference First Team, while Brendan Henn and Danny Eden earned all-conference second-team honors. Lehner, Berzonski, Druck, Henn, Hite, Irizarry, and Lucas Floyd also secured all-region recognition for their play during an historic 2023 campaign.

 

The Lions open the 2024 season by hosting Clarkson for a doubleheader at War Memorial Field in Ephrata, Pa. on Sunday, Feb. 18.
