Merritt Earns Second Conference Pitcher of the Week Honor

LATHAM, N.Y. - For the second time this season, Penn State Harrisburg baseball player Hunter Merritt has been named the United East Pitcher of the Week.

 

It's the second such honor for Merritt this spring after he earned the same accolade in late February. 

 

The senior turned in a stellar start during a 14-3 victory over Penn State Berks on Sunday afternoon. The Etters, Pa. native threw six scoreless innings and racked up six strikeouts while allowing just three total baserunners en route to securing his third win of the year.

 

The Lions (14-5) return to action when they host Susquehanna on Tuesday afternoon.
