Baseball's NCAA Regional Opener Pushed Back to Friday

WHITEWATER, Wis. – Due to prolonged periods of heavy rain, Penn State Harrisburg baseball's NCAA Division III Championship Tournament game against No. 24 Texas Lutheran originally scheduled for Thursday night has been rescheduled for Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. EST.

Heavy precipitation forced the stoppage of the regional's second contest of the day between the hosts from Wisconsin-Whitewater and Luther during the game's fifth inning. The Blue & White were scheduled to take on the nationally-ranked Bulldogs at 7 p.m. EST following the conclusion of the previous matchup.

The winner of tomorrow's game between Penn State Harrisburg and Texas Lutheran will play their second contest of the regional on Saturday at a time to be determined later. The loser of tomorrow's outing will face Adrian, the region's top seed, in a must-win scenario on Friday night at 8 p.m. EST.
