Baseball Climbs to Third In NCAA Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS – Penn State Harrisburg baseball has climbed two spots in the final NCAA Division III Regional Rankings of the season.

 

Fresh off winning the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship on Sunday, the Lions (28-7) are up to No. 3 in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Nationally-ranked Rowan claimed the top spot in the region, while Keystone follows in second. No. 4 York (Pa.) and fifth-ranked Penn State Abington round out the top five.

 

The Blue & White have racked up seven wins over regionally-ranked teams this spring in Shenandoah, Keystone (twice), and Penn State Abington (four times). As a team, Penn State Harrisburg ranks second in nation in home runs, eighth in on-base percentage, and ninth in both scoring and walks.

 

The Lions' NCAA Tournament destination and initial opponent will be revealed during the NCAA.com selection stream on Sunday, May 23.
