Williams Named to D3baseball.com TOW For Third Time

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Thanks to his outstanding performance in a pair of playoff games over the weekend, Penn State Harrisburg's Bret Williams has been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week.

It is the third time this season Williams has been named to the organization's national team of the week after also earning recognition in late March and mid-April.

Williams was nearly perfect at the plate during two North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Semifinal Series outings on Saturday afternoon. The senior went 6-for-7 with two home runs and three walks across two games against Lancaster Bible. During the contests, the Mount Carmel, Pa. native slashed .857/.900/1.857 with a pair of homers, an RBI double, three walks, four RBI, four runs scored, and 13 total bases.

He followed it up on Monday afternoon with his 17th home run of the season, a double, and two walks in Penn State Harrisburg's 7-5, game-three victory over the Chargers that clinched a spot for the Blue & White in the upcoming NEAC Championship Series.

The Lions will host the winner of this week's Penn State Abington/Penn College semifinal series for the NEAC Championship beginning on Saturday afternoon, May 15.
