Baseball Debuts at No. 4 In NCAA Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA has released its initial Division III Baseball Regional Rankings and Penn State Harrisburg is among the teams included.

The Lions (24-6) debuted at No. 4 in the Mid-Atlantic region after recording their third consecutive 20-win campaign and capturing the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Regular Season Championship over the weekend. As a team, the Blue & White rank top-10 in the nation in scoring, home runs, on-base percentage, and walks, as well as top-20 in runs, slugging percentage, and stolen bases.

Penn State Abington claimed the top spot in the Mid-Atlantic region, while nationally-ranked Rowan and Keystone round out the top three. The Lions have earned wins over three regionally-ranked teams so far this spring, having defeated Keystone, Abington, and Shenandoah.

Penn State Harrisburg returns to action this weekend when the team hosts Lancaster Bible for one of two NEAC Tournament Semifinal Series on Saturday afternoon, May 8.
