Penn State Harrisburg Takes Down Roanoke
Salem, Va.- The Penn State Harrisburg baseball team went 1-1 yesterday afternoon against Averett. Today, the Lion's came from behind to get their second win of the week against Roanoke, 7-5.
 

The home team got an early lead off of a singled RBI in the first inning. During the bottom of the third, Roanoke extended their lead thanks to a grounded RBI to the short stop. The Lions had a strong fifth inning as they brought in four of their seven runs. Blake Reiff (Manheim, Pa. / Manheim Central) got things started with Harrisburg's first single of the game. Next at bat was Scott Angstadt Jr. (Jarrettsville, Md. / North Harford) with a double down the line, sending Reiff around the bases. At the end of the inning, Connor Bowers (Mount Joy, Pa. / Donegal) singled to left field, giving the Lions a 4-2 lead.

Harrisburg added two more runs to their tally at the top of the eighth as David Klein (Sugarloaf, Pa. / Hazleton Area) tripled and Angstadt grounded out to the pitcher with an RBI. Roanoke added two more runs to the scoreboard in the final inning but Harrisburg's lead stood strong. Brian Goodling (Carlisle, Pa. / Carlisle) took home the win at pitcher for Harrisburg, giving up only one run and one hit.
 

Harrisburg will face Roanoke once again tomorrow, March 9th, at 2 pm.
