Hicks' 2-0 Week Earns NEAC Honors

MIDDLETOWN, Pa.- The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has named Penn State Harrisburg freshman pitcher Clint Hicks (State College, PA/State College) the men's baseball pitching Student-Athlete of the Week for the time period ending Sunday, Mar. 11.  

The first-year player was stout during the Lions spring break trip in Myrtle Beach, SC, posting two wins in as many starts.  Hicks pitched a complete nine-inning game in the blue and white's 5-3 win over Wilkes on Tuesday, Mar. 6, allowing just three runs (two earned) and nine hits while striking out two and surrendering no walks.

The State College native followed it up by pitching 5.2 innings and allowing just two runs and eight hits during Penn State Harrisburg's 7-4 victory over Arcadia three days later.  He surrendered just one walk and struck out three Knight batters.

The pair of victories improved Hicks to 3-0 on the season.  The young pitcher currently has an ERA of 3.52 and has struck out six batters on the year while surrendering just six walks and nine earned runs.
