STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's track & field teams capped their winter seasons by turning in strong performances at the 2023 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Indoor Championships at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Monday night, Feb. 20.

Leah Gray shined in the sprints, while Paul Netland III and Makayla Grace Weber competed in their respective hurdles finals. Nofisat Aina (long jump), Isaac Whitson (triple jump), and Sean Myron (shot put) also earned top-10 finishes in their respective events.

Gray just missed out on all-conference recognition when she finished fourth in the women's 60m dash with a new personal record of 7.95 seconds; a time strong enough to rank as the second-fastest time in program history. The sophomore followed it up with another PR in the 200m dash. Her effort of 26.93 seconds ranks third all-time in the event in program history.

Netland finished seventh in the men's 60m hurdles final after turning in the second-quickest effort in program history in prelims with a time of 8.56 seconds. Weber also crossed the line seventh in the women's 60m hurdles. She etched her name in the program's record book as well, with her preliminary effort of 10.06 seconds ranking third all-time.

Whitson narrowly missed out on a top-five finish in the men's triple jump, as his best attempt of 12.42 meters earned him sixth place in the event. Aina recorded one of the top jumps of her career in the women's long jump and her top leap of 4.91 meters proved strong enough to secure her a seventh-place finish in a field of 17 competitors. For Myron, his top toss of 12.82 meters in the men's shot put was good enough to earn him a 10th-place finish out of 25 throwers.

As a group, both the men's and women's teams compiled 10 total points on the night.
