Track & Field Records, PRs Broken at York (Pa.) Twilight Meet

YORK, Pa. - On the afternoon and into the evening of Wednesday, April 13, Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's track & field teams took part in what has become a pre-Easter tradition each season - the annual Twilight Meet hosted by York (Pa.).

A couple of women's runners made their marks on the program record book, with Tatyana Gibson winning the 800m and resetting her own record in the event thanks to her time of 2:17.52; a mark good enough to rank her top-35 in the nation. Leah Gray also made history, finishing third in the 100m dash behind a burst of 13.07 seconds. Her effort was strong enough to rank second all-time in the event in program history.

Nofisat Aina came home eighth in the 100m, while Grey and Kyli Moon-Rumsey each secured top-10 finishes in the 200m dash. Moon-Rumsey also turned in a strong performance in the 100m hurdles, as her time of 16.58 seconds was good enough to earn her a runner-up finish in the event.

On the men's side, a pair of field athletes etched their names in the record book, as Angad Bhullar's top toss of 37.56 meters in the discus was strong enough to take third out of 15 competitors in the event and rank as the third-best mark in program history. In the hammer, it was Comlan Acoliste sliding into third place all-time thanks to his top throw of 33.14 meters.

Sean Myron took second in the javelin throw, Scott Brosius secured a fifth-place finish in the triple jump, and Sean Hamby barley missed out on a top-10 finish in the 100m dash.

The Lions will get 10 days off from competition before returning to action at the Mason-Dixon Invitational hosted by Gettysburg on Saturday, April 23.
