KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Three Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer players in Sydney Hemler, Kylee Altland, and Sydney Mulka have earned United Soccer Coaches (USC) All-Region honors thanks to their outstanding play during the 2022 campaign.

Hemler was named to the USC All-Region IV Second Team, while both Altland and Mulka received third-team all-region accolades. They are just the second, third, and fourth players in program history, respectively, to earn all-region recognition.

Hemler was named the United East Defensive Player of the Year after leading a back line that allowed just .74 goals per game. The United East All-Conference First-Team selection helped the Lions secure 13 shutouts on the year, including eight in a row to end the regular season, and was named the United East Defensive Player of the Week three times in October. On the offensive side, the Boiling Springs, Pa. native recorded nine total points thanks to four goals and an assist. Hemler has also been strong in the classroom and she, along with teammate Sarah Toche-Manley, recently became one of the first players in program history to earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District accolades.

Altland proved one of the Penn State Harrisburg's top offensive players this fall, ranking second on the team with eight goals scored and 18 total points. The Millersburg, Pa. native converted two game-winning markers and added a pair of assists during the most-recent campaign. For her efforts, the versatile forward was named to the United East All-Conference First Team.

Mulka broke onto the scene as a freshman and was strong in goal, starting all 20 games in net as a rookie. The Albion, N.Y. native made 62 saves on the year, posted an .805 save percentage, and finished with a .82 goals allowed average. She earned 13 victories this fall, with seven of them coming in the form of a shutout. Mulka was named to the United East All-Conference First Team for her efforts.
