LATHAM, N.Y. – Thanks to her efforts in a pair of recent victories, Penn State Harrisburg's Sarah Toche-Manley has been named the United East Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

From her midfield position, Toche-Manley helped anchor a defensive unit that allowed just two shots on goal across a pair of shutout victories last week. In a 1-0 win over Albright on Wednesday, the Lions allowed just two attempts on the night. In a 6-0 victory over conference foe Penn State Abington on Saturday afternoon, Penn State Harrisburg did not allow a shot on frame. In the win over the opposing Lions on the weekend, Toche also got involved in the scoring act, burying her first marker of the season midway through the opening half.

The Lions return to action when they travel to Penn College for another United East contest on Tuesday evening, Sept. 20. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
