LATHAM, N.Y. – Thanks to her strong performance over the weekend, Penn State Harrisburg's Rhyan Socash has been named the United East Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Socash helped lead the Lions (3-1-3 overall, 2-0-1 United East) to a pair of victories over conference foes Penn State Abington and Penn College, as well as a scoreless draw at Albright. The senior netted her first goal of the weekend in a 3-1 win at Penn State Abington on Saturday before adding two more markers in a 5-0 victory over the Wildcats the next day. For the week, the York Haven, Pa. native tallied six points on three goals, including her first game winner of the season.
Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer team returns to action at Widener on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 23. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
