LATHAM, N.Y. - For the second time this season, Penn State Harrisburg softball player Mackenzie Sawdey has been named the United East Volt Division Pitcher of the Week.

Sawdey began her week by allowing just one earned run on three hits and striking out eight batters in securing a 10-2 victory at Penn State Berks on Wednesday afternoon. The Halifax, Pa. native followed it up by allowing just two hits in a complete game, shutout win over Penn State Abington on Sunday afternoon. She closed out the weekend by earning another win in an 11-3 victory over Penn State Abington in Sunday's nightcap, throwing four scoreless innings and allowing just one hit. For the week, she posted a .46 ERA and struck out 15 batters.

Thanks to Sawdey's efforts, Penn State Harrisburg (26-12) earned the top seed, along with hosting duties, in the upcoming United East Volt Division Tournament. The Lions will face the winner of Wednesday's first round matchup between No. 4 Penn State Abington and No. 5 Lancaster Bible on Friday morning.
