LATHAM, N.Y. - Thanks to her stellar efforts in six games last week, Penn State Harrisburg's Madelyn Krantz has been named the United East Softball Player of the Week.
Krantz helped lead Penn State Harrisburg to a 5-1 record last week, including a 4-0 mark in conference play. The senior had a monster week at the plate, racking up 16 total hits from her leadoff spot, including four doubles. The Thurmont, Md. native drove in seven runs and scored a dozen more to go along with 20 total bases. She slashed an impressive .761/.772/.952 with a stellar OPS of 1.724, stole two bases, and tallied six assists and eight putouts in the field.
The Lions (9-5, 4-0 United East) return to action when they host Franklin & Marshall for a non-conference doubleheader at Courtney Pollock Memorial Field on Tuesday afternoon.
