Reider Named Conference Player of the Week

LATHAM, N.Y. – Thanks to her stellar efforts in four contests last week, Penn State Harrisburg's Steph Reider has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Softball Player of the Week.

Reider provided plenty of offense for the Blue & White in four victories last week, finishing 10-for-16 at the plate. The freshman recorded at least one hit in every game and was a perfect 4-for-4 in the second contest of a doubleheader sweep against Morrisville State on Saturday. The rookie drove in eight runs in wins over the Mustangs and Lancaster Bible the night before, while scoring four herself. The Maytown, Pa. native tagged opposing pitchers for five doubles and hit the first home run of her collegiate career. For the week, Reider slashed .625/.625/1.125 with a stout 1.750 OPS to go along with 18 total bases.

The Lions are set to host the defending conference champions from Penn State Berks at Courtney Pollock Memorial Field in their next outing on Thursday afternoon, April 14.
