MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg men's and women's track & field and cross country head coach Kadine Johnson-Crowder has accepted a position as an associate head coach at Division I Chicago State University. Effective immediately, former track & field assistant Ryan Hart will serve as the program's interim head coach, as announced by Penn State Harrisburg director of athletics Rahsaan Carlton.

During Johnson-Crowder's two-plus years at Penn State Harrisburg, four track & field athletes combined to capture six conference championships, while three others combined to earn six U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honors.

Hart returns to Penn State Harrisburg after multiple seasons as a top assistant for the track & field and cross country programs. Prior to his time at Penn State Harrisburg, Hart served as the head throws coach at nearby Elizabethtown Area High School for four years. A former standout at Shippensburg University, Hart earned Division II All-America honors in the discus throw after setting the program record in the event with a top toss of 53.66 meters. Hart began his collegiate career at DeSales University by breaking the school record in the discus and winning a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championship in the event as a freshman.

Carlton announced that Penn State Harrisburg will begin a national search for the next full-time track & field and cross country head coach this May.

The Lions continue their outdoor campaign at the Millersville Metrics beginning on Friday morning, April 5.
