MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg earned a spot in the first set of NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Regional Rankings, released on Tuesday afternoon. This is the first time in program history that Penn State Harrisburg has been regionally ranked.

The Lions (19-3) were included in the initial Region IV rankings, along with DeSales, New York University (NYU), Rowan, Stevens, Stockton, and The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). The first set of NCAA Regional Rankings is listed alphabetically. Teams will be officially ranked for the first time when the second set of rankings is unveiled next week.

As a group, Penn State Harrisburg ranks eighth in the nation in assists per game (18.4) and ranks top-25 in the country in a number of other statistical categories, including winning percentage (86.4), assist-to-turnover ratio (1.42), and steals per game (10).

Individually, a pair of players in Donyae Baylor-Carroll (six times) and Nate Curry have earned United East Volt Division Player of the Week recognition this winter. Baylor-Carroll has also been selected to the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week twice this season.

Winners of eight in a row, the Lions host Penn State Abington for another conference tilt at the Capital Union Building on Wednesday night.
