Baylor-Carroll Earns Pair of All-Region Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - For the second time in his career, Penn State Harrisburg's Donyae Baylor-Carroll has earned all-region recognition from both D3hoops.com and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

Baylor-Carroll was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 4 First Team and the NABC All-District 4 Second Team for the second time in as many seasons.

A D3hoops.com Preseason All-America Second-Team selection, Baylor-Carroll's most-recent accolades come after he helped Penn State Harrisburg knock off No. 9 St. Joseph (Conn.) in the first round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament. The sharpshooting guard averaged 15.5 points per contest in a pair of NCAA games against USJ and eventual Elite Eight qualifier in No. 13 WPI.

The senior captain helped lead the Lions to their second straight conference championship, averaging 21.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and four assists across a pair United East Tournament outings, including 23 points in an 85-52 rout of Lancaster Bible in the title game.

Baylor-Carroll was named to the Bevo Francis Award Top 100 Watch List by Small College Basketball in mid-January before earning United East All-Conference First-Team accolades for the second straight season. A two-time United East Player of the Week honoree this winter, he became the fastest player in program history to score 1,000 career points (60 games) during a win over Washington College in November.

In addition to his 17.9 points, four assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game, the Harrisburg, Pa. native ranked top-25 in the nation in 3-point field goals made (85) and 3-pointers per game (3.15). He was also stout of the defensive end, ranking top-30 nationally in total steals (65) and steals per game (2.41). The playmaker was stellar at the foul line as well, ranking 53rd in Division III in free throw percentage (84.5).
