Men's Basketball Receives Votes In D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - For the first time this season, Penn State Harrisburg's men's basketball team is receiving votes in the D3hoops.com Top 25 National Rankings.

Fresh off a 93-76 victory over conference rival Lancaster Bible last week, the Lions (14-1, 7-0 United East) received one vote in the latest national poll. It is the first time the Blue & White have been included in the national rankings since the final D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll of the 2020 campaign.

Penn State Harrisburg is in the midst of an historic season that's seen the team race out to the best start in program history. The Lions are riding an 11-game win streak after wrapping up non-conference play with a 7-1 record. The Blue & White defeated non-conference opponents by an average of 16.2 points per outing and haven't suffered a setback since before Thanksgiving. The team remains undefeated in United East action, having won seven games by more than 24 points per contest.

Through 15 games, Penn State Harrisburg ranks top-10 in the nation in assists per game (20.5), blocks per game (5.7), scoring margin (19.3), and steals per game (12.1). The squad also ranks top-20 in scoring defense (62.5), field goal percentage defense (38.3), and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.47).

The Lions return to action when they travel to face United East foe Wells on Friday night, Jan. 28. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
