Scott Earns United East Player of the Week Honors

LATHAM, N.Y. - Thanks to his stellar performance across three victories last week, Penn State Harrisburg's Zegary Scott III has been named the United East Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Scott turned in one of the best stretches of his career in helping lead the Lions to three wins last week. The point guard tallied 15 points on 77.8 percent shooting from the floor and finished one assist shy of a double-double in a 103-64 victory at Penn State Berks on Tuesday before pouring in a career-high 24 points on 62.5 percent shooting to go along with seven dimes and four steals in a 92-74 win at Penn College on Friday night. The Jersey City, N.J. native added nine points and seven more assists in a lopsided 45-point victory over Penn State Abington the next day. For the week, the senior averaged 16 points on 65.6 percent shooting, 7.6 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.6 steals per contest to help push Penn State Harrisburg's recent win streak to 10 games.

The Lions (13-1, 6-0 United East) return to action when they host conference rival Lancaster Bible at the Capital Union Building on Wednesday night, Jan. 19. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
