North Eastern Athletic Conference Student-Athlete of the Week Selection

GANSEVOORT, NY - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announces student-athlete of the week selection ending Sunday, February 2nd, 2009 in the sports of men´s basketball.

Kenton Alston (Steelton, PA/Steel High) was selected as the NEAC Men´s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week. Alston, a 6´3" freshman forward for the Penn State Harrisburg Nittany Lions, was selected for his outstanding offensive and defensive performance despite his team´s 1-2 record this week. Alston finished the week with 41 points (13.7/game), 31 rebounds (10.3/game), 12 blocks (4/game), 3 steals, 2 assists, 2-for-6 from three point range (.333 from behind the arc), 5-for-6 from the free throw line (.833 from the line), and a .405 shooting percentage. Alston´s highlight this week was a 20 point, 14 rebound, and 7 block game versus Cazenovia College. Alston receives this award for the second time this season.
