Lewis and Hitz Honored by North Eastern Athletic Conference

GANSVOORT, NY - To conclude the 2007-2008 men's basketball season, Penn State Harrisburg was able to celebrate two outstanding athletes for their work on the court. Seth Lewis (Lower Dauphin/Grantville, PA)and Abe Hitz (Annville-Cleona/Annville, PA) both made the North Eastern Athletic Conference All-Conference teams, while Lewis also got the prestige of being named the NEAC player of the year.

Seth Lewis Along with being named NEAC player of the year Seth made the NEAC First Team All-Conference averaging 21 points per game and 9 rebounds per game, which rank first and second respectively in the NEAC. He led the NEAC in double-doubles with 11 and finished second in minutes played per game with 35.2.

Abe made NEAC Third Team All-Conference finishing fourth in the NEAC in scoring at 20.1 points per game. Abe also finished second in the NEAC in free throw shooting at 85.5 percent and fourth in steals per game with 1.84.

With the help of these two players, Penn State Harrisburg finished their first year in the NEAC with a record of 6-8 in the NEAC and 8-17 overall. The 6-8 record was good enough to finish fifth in the NEAC, missing the playoffs by just one game.
