Penn State Harrisburg Fall Top Ten Moments 2014-2015 #6

After a slow start to the year Penn State Harrisburg’s baseball team finished the last third of the year going 11-3 which was capped off by a dazzling performance on the mound by sophomore pitcher Brian Goodling (Carlisle, Pa. / Carlisle).

Going into the final game of the season against Elizabethtown College, Goodling got the start on the mound for the Lions. From the start of the game Goodling commanded the strike-zone, striking the side out in the first inning before going on to tally 11 more strikeouts to bring his game total and new career high to 14.  He also only allowed four hits and a walk in his eight complete innings of work leading the Lions to a 2-0 win in their final game of the season.

Finishing the last part of the season with a record of 11-3 showed some promise for next year as the Lions look to build on their finish going into the 2016 season.
